Back to Discipline and Consistency

I was thinking about my writing this morning and my journey with writing looks just like my journey with weight loss and saving money. I wake up with these great ideas to write, work out or save and then I start on my path with energy and passion. Then somewhere along the way I get distracted and become inconsistent and then it becomes almost painful to start over or to have a real heart to heart talk with myself and realize that I will not reach my goals if I do not do the things I need to do to achieve my goals. I think we all do this at some point in our lives however the difference between those that reach their goals and those that don’t is a person’s ability realize they are off course and do whatever it takes to get back on course no matter how many times they fail. However at some point in life time becomes a factor. I am truly living a blessed life but there is so much more I would like to accomplish such as writing more books, traveling, losing weight and becoming debt free. In order to achieve those goals I have to be honest with myself. I am turning 50 this year and I do not want to be inconsistent and undisciplined for another 49 years and then finally become consistent and disciplined at 99 years old. There is nothing wrong with finally figuring “it” out at 99 however that is a lot of time wasted when we could make the choice to be disciplined and consistent now.

So what does discipline and consistency look like for me on my journey:

Write daily.

Work out 5 times a week(I have tried 3 times a week…my brain needs more consistency).

Save and investment at a minimum of 10% and more once I become debt free.

Pay off my debts.

Continue to travel for fun and work.

Set up a consistent schedule for my speaking engagements.

Read daily.

Touch/practice my guitar at least 5 times a week.

Organize my schedule for work and business.

Read my goals morning and evening.

Be disciplined and consistent😀❤️
